How to Install oping software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

oping software package provides sends ICMP_ECHO requests to network hosts, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install oping

oping is installed in your system.

Make ensure the oping package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep oping *

You will get with oping package name, version, architecture and description in a table
